    Couldn’t see one.

Not been riding since last Sunday due to chest infection. Managed out today for a little pottle via the inlaws for coffee. New Prime Privera 56mm wheels (and x-light bar) on bike – had to spend my teacher back pay on something. Will be out on the MTB next weekend at Thornielee

14.40 miles with a nice climb up castlemilk via kingspark.

Spent the day at Dirt Farm with a group of mates from all over the country, it was sloppy but great fun.

No picture on the trails as I left my phone in the car but that was the state of the bike after one run, virtually unrecognisable by the end! Thankfully the mud there is still grippy even when wet (red sandstone, like sandpaper unless it’s a total bog) so actually set a PB or two.

It finally stopped raining at 3pm, I went out at 4.00, blue skies by 5.00.

A tad damp under wheel but at least I managed a ride without water falling from the sky!

Fantastic weekend. Took Reeksy Jr1 to buy a new to him bike, then some bits including a dropper for his old bike to sweeten the hand me down to his little bro.

Spent the afternoon chopping bars and fitting dropper and a new front tyre, setting sags and the like.

Then a big Sunday morning shred to see if it was worth it.
    Thumbs up all around.

Glorious morning this morning! Still a quagmire on most of the tracks and Waggonways, but a lovely bit of sunshine 🌞

I took a little sit down in a prickly bush, slimy wet wood is not the best friend of poor technique and a set of mezcals

Didn’t get out for a proper ride so went for a local pedal. Found some very large steep stuff to come back for when I’m in the mood.

    Some fantastic pics on here.

Here’s my effort….. 70km loop from the door, headed west for a change to Box Hill, largely tarmac and some accidental bridleway and gravel courtesy of me not looking closely enough at Komoot last night… Great route as it happened, predictably the tyres were terrible/brilliant fun in the slop but the trails were largely dry.

First weekend (or any time of the week) ride since November, as a result there are no pics. There is a sense of enormous well-being though.

First ever visit to the pump track with the kids. Not pedalling is tiring!

We went searching for a way to cycle from Clatteringshaws Reservoir to Loch Doon (Galloways) – we failed but nobody was complaining.
