Thinking of running these as a rear brake on a 1x cross build. They seem fairly good value.

Any experience of these? Any good?

How do the hoods compare to Shimano hoods?

    Thanks

They work well (have them on my touring bike) but I’m not sure I’d get on mixing one with a shimano sti – the shape is quite different.

Thought that might be the case.

I have them on my gravel kbike for about a year, massive improvement over cable actuated discs…..great power comfortable, but slender hoods (not so good if you’ve big hands).
I also run 1x but with a modded six 10sp trigger on the tops. I’ve looked at the di2 and gevenalle options, but the expense puts me off.

    Concur with previous posts.

I fitted a set to my day one with alfine hub (which I run via a bar end shifter) and they are totally awesome. Don’t know how they compare to the latest Shimano sti sets but easily the best road or gravel brakes I’ve used, and also better than my old hope mtb brakes.

I wouldn’t mix the hoods with Shimano stis though.

Gevenalle will combine TRP hyped with a mounted shifter for 1x… I’ve used cable mini v as my cross bike is not disc. If it was I’d have done this.
