Am in Budapest for 5 days with nothing at all planned.

    Staying in the Jewish quarter.

Does anyone have any recommendations for things you might not find searching online? My interests (outside of bikes) are brewing/distilling, heavy metal music/musical instruments and denim bowties

Old Man’s Music Pub if it’s still going.

Fausto’s used to be best restaurant in town, but that was turn of the century.

    Listz Ferenc Ter near Oktagon

I need to go back :)

Szimpla Kurt bar. Bonkers boozer, was a bit quiet when we went in mid-winter, I’d like to go again though.

Not exactly off the beaten track, but the national art museum in the castle at the top of the funicular was excellent.
