Off to snowdonia for the bank holiday and normally camp at camping llanberis, cheap rough& ready sure that allows fires. Fancy somewhere different this trip any recommendations for dog friendly easy going campsites that allow fire pits?
Campsite at Nant Gwynant used to allow fires (in supplied metal trays). It’s a nice site by the lake, not far from Beddgelert. Fire is useful to keep the midges at bay!

As above, Lyn Gwynant campsite within walking distance to Pen y Pass. www.gwynant.com
Really nice site on the river, they have fire pits & sell fire wood (it was all soft wood though)
Also served up pizza's from a mobile wood burning pizza van.
If you are rubbish at lighting fires like me you had better be prepared with firestarters and stuff. One time at Llyn Gwynant I struggled as it was a damp couple of days and the wood was a bit damp too.
Lynn gwynant still did fire pits this summer but it was a bit of a scouse zoo...
Only spent one night there as it was in the right place at the right time and then went back to wild camping.
Does the national trust one at the bottom of the Watkin path allow fires?
Rhyd Du the cwlynn arms or Snowdon inn as per it's web address
Foods epic
Last time i stayed at Gwern Gof Uchaf (maybe 5 years ago) we were fine with a fire.
cwellyn arms campsite has mobile fire pits, you can buy wood from the pub itself about 1/2 mile down the road towards rhyd ddu and both rangers and rhyd ddu paths up snowdon are easy walking distance from the campsite. plus, otters in the glacial lake alongside it worth waking up early to watch them fish...
If you want somewhere at the other end of the park, would recommend Dinas, between Barmouth and Harlech
