Got a tange infinity steel Charge Cooker from 2011. Looking to put a 29+ compatible fork on it. Must be 1 1/8th. Carbon or steel but non-boost QR. 480-490mm a-c. Anyone got any recommendations? Heard good things about the old singular swift fork but rare as hens teeth.

Head good things about Salsa Cromoto, but they’re discontinued now.  Probably similar availability as the Swift fork!

    something from Surly?

There is a Salsa Firestarter fork on EBay that looks suitable.

I think that I have the same on my On-One Inbred.

I’ve a Surly ogre sitting idle in the garage. Been used but steerer uncut.

You can still buy the Swift fork brand new:

    These are cheap too:

There are normally a few things going on ebay suitable, Salsa, Surly, etc. Some Kona P2 29er forks there at the moment relatively cheap. I’m not certain they will take a 29+ but many rigid steel forks 440mm or longer will. I’ve got some 445mm Singular Gryphon forks and a 29×2.6 fits with loads of clearance.

The Kona’s are meant to be stiff, but if you’re running a 29+ tyre I can’t see that mattering too much

Thanks LM. Just pressed the button on those Singular forks. Been looking for a while now! 😬

Damn, looks like you got the last one! I’ve just heard back from Sam that the new Swift forks (and presumably the new Swift) will be tapered so I’ll have to hope that my carbon forks hold out or find something second hand.

Current Swift forks are 470mm but I don’t know if this will change with the new models.

If anyone needs a Krampus fork in red, boost axle included with 215mm steerer send a PM
