I've decided my mountain bike helmet doesn't give me enough coverage down the back of my head like the more modern ones so would like a new one. Would prefer it to have the MIPS system and if poss under £100 so anything in a sale would be lovely but if the one you own has impressed you then feel free to recommend that.
Cheers.

Any full face with a detachable chin guard will give you good head.

(Coverage).

Definitely worth looking in the clearance section on Stif's website. Lots of bargains to be had there.

I can second Stif for bargains. I buy a fair bit from there. Although the brands they stock are on the more expensive side, their sales are good and their customer service is excellent.

My lad's got a Giro Fixture MIPS, it's a one-size fits all, so pretty cheap - it fits my 59cm head fine and looks good on his rather smaller nut too. £45 according to Google, bargain.

Oh yeah, he had the non-Mips version before and tested it out pretty well on the BPW rocks. No damage to bonce and Giro did a deal on a damage replacement.

Very pleased with bell four forty, it has MIPS and cost me about £65 in the sale iirc

I've had a Blue Grass Golden Eyes helmet for the last 4 years - I'll buy another when it needs replacing :o)

Tsg scope. Little known but one of the best helmets I’ve had.

Thanks for the recommendations. Sizes and colours didn't match up fron Stif but good reductions.
Going to give a Bell four forty a try. £50 in the sale from Amazon so worth a punt. If it doesn't fit I'll take another look at the ones mentioned above.

It's a good lid - we had one on the household until someone left it behind a different car in the car park...and then the other car reversed.

I just picked up a £19.99 enduro style lid from On One/Planet X. It’s surprisingly good for the money, good protection around the back, padded well, a covered chin strap and mesh interior panel at the front to stop the larger flying critters.

I lust after a POD but this is good enough
