I’m just about to start building up a Whyte 905, and the paintwork has a nice matt finish to it.

I’m wondering if the matt finish will result in lots of little air bubbles when I apply the protection tape – any previous experience?

Not if you do it right. I’ve got two matt finish bikes with Matt Invisiframe kits and if anything, is more invisible than the gloss IMO.

Good clean surfaces, light mist of mild soapy water and a decent squeegee plus as much time as you need should result in no bubbles with Invisiframe whether gloss or Matt.

wish id done mine when I first got it – BPW uplift has made a right mess of the painted logos!

Can’t help but think that bikes look better with the patina of use ….

I was hoping to use Paragon Tapes, but they’ve informed me that they don’t stock it anymore :(

    The search continues
