Trying to find a battery powered pa\speaker for a small outdoor wedding (about 40 guests). Needed for background music speeches type thing. Then be cranked up a bit in the evening for bbq camping shenanigans. Needs to last at least 12 hours and not be tinny and sound reasonable in a woody setting.
Any ideas?
A guitar and some Bongos?
Single track towers really should market this place differently as there is an answer or expert on everything. (I don’t just mean an opinion)

You are Boris {telling us it's fine to have such gatherings} and I claim my £5.
.
Mk2 fiesta with 6x9s boot open job done.
Or if you can be arsed big lesuire battery and a car stereo through normal speakers.
Whereabouts are you, I may be able to hire you something quite reasonably. I have PA kit for outdoor events, usually powered by battery / inverter.
For music outdoors and decent sound surely you need a generator driven set of speakers? That battery powered one will surely be pitiful for music?
I was at a outdoor wedding in a woods setting and we used a 1 kw pa IIRC
That Laney system looks interesting but not much use after the wedding. I'd be thinking about a couple of Ultimate Ears https://www.ultimateears.com/en-gb/wireless-speakers/hyperboom.html and maybe seeing if you know anyone else who has more you can borrow.
speakers. The new models you can sync up to 150 (!) and that gives you distributed sound rather than from a single point (which often means you lose all the volume when a few people dance in front of the speaker)
Battery life should easily cover a long party and you can hang them from a couple of trees or posts to get them higher up to avoid them being blocked by People.

QED.
I came to this realisation the day someone asked about hot air balloon experiences, a few replies later we got "well, I'm a balloon pilot and..." and this just seemed utterly unsurprising to me. Of course we have a balloon pilot on the forum, where do you think you are?
