Sonder Scope is 15 degrees, in stock and fairly cheap.

Ghylside Cycles do an SQ lab order every few weeks (I’ve got a set on the next order).

    Bikemonger had some Salsa ones.

The Sonder looks ideal, cheers for the info all

I was about to say the Sonder Scope – trying them on one bike and like them so far, and not too bad price-wise either.

I have some Ergotec flat bars with 12deg backsweep, 780mm wide (from BikeInn) which you may see over a brew in the woods on Sunday….

I’ve been looking for a set of Stooge Moto – back in stock mid Jan apparently.

I emailed them to see if it was possible to be put on a mailing list, but no reply

More swept than 17° though, more like 25° I think?

Very comfy bars though. Got some on my Stooge.

I went for the Sonder bars mentioned above, two rides in I’m not 100% sure they are for me, will persevere a bit more.

This is a timely thread after a little incident I had riding to the train station this morning… time to start browsing for new bars.

Not a good start to the week. What bars are they?

Wow – did you get hit by an actual train? Must have been quite the impact – good you seem to be OK

Blimey, not even at a clamp! Which On-One bars are they? Had they been crashed?

Well…it was a low speed hop up the kerb onto the pavement – and the right section of the bar just came off in my hand. A second of WTF? processing then I grabbed both brakes and stopped. Given I was on my way to a big day in the Dales I think I’ve had a lucky escape, tbh.

OGs, used since summer 2020, 6655km on them. Only crash that comes to mind was almost exactly a year ago, when I went down hard enough on that side of the bars to bend the XT lever blade through c.40 degrees (got the molgrips on it and it bent back ok). No cracks, creaking or indication of imminent failure.

And the MTB is out of action during a week when everything is frozen solid. Teeth grinding.

Stooge Moto bars are back in stock.

Ordered a set for my frankenbikepack Shan project

Fitted to the Shan today. Only a car park test, but I like them. Got me thinking what they’d be like on the big bouncy ebike

Ok, so I should’ve listened to you guys. I tried the Sonder bars and they were ok but not perfect so when they came into stock I splashed out on the Stooge bars and….well I was initially scared of the 800mm width but on riding them they feel great and I’ve no intention of trimming them.
    Thanks all for the advice!

I got mine a few years ago and decided they were too wide, so cut them down a little…then regretted it ever since.

I have Motos on my rigid Pinnacle Ramin commuter/bike packing/shitty weather bike, they cost me as much as the frame and fork did🤣
I’ve left them full width but added some SQLabs in-board stubby bar ends for an alternative hand position.

In case anyone not aware this is this nice little website for comparing various bar sweeps visually:

Just taken a punt on these…

    Cannondale Cruise Control bars @Merlin

    15° sweep, 90mm rise, and £14.99!
Only 740mm width, but I’ve got some bar extenders that’ll add 20mm each side.
