Struggling with this as no definitive videos or instructions on t’web.

Have to replace the multilink part that captures the cable,  but to do that the plastic mast end part which houses the metal link needs to come out.

I have removed the circlip. Apparently the branded collar where the seal is on the shaft doesn’t unscrew on this model. But the mast end won’t pull or screw out as far as I can tell (don’t want to break it!).

Can anyone provide any insight into this?

Did it last night – info for anyone else struggling:

    Remove circlip

Sprayed a bit of penetrating oil onto mast end plastic insert

Griped mast end with grips/vice across the pins to prevent damage

Rotated slightly, pulled and it came loose and it pulls out still connected to inner shaft

Grip inner shaft (grips and some old inner tube) and rotate mast end and it unscrews

V easy to then tap retaining pins out of mast end using a flattened nail and replace broken multilink

Don’t forget to replace circlip before connecting to cable, inserting to bike and testing – do you how I know this!!!
