In the last two rides my Fox Float rl’s have developed a clunky knock when rebounding. They don’t feel smooth at all. I’ve had them a year now and havent been serviced however have been looked after and only used every other week if that (Weekend warrior ATM). Can any one shed any light on the situation.

    Is the rebound full on?

Is it at the point of direction change I.E from compression to rebound?

It’s likely to be a sticky shim, probably due to surface finish on a piston.

These get re-finished as part of a full service

Yeah, to me it feels sticky so you could well be right! Thanks for the info guys i’ll look into services.

Yep that’s quite common, a sticky shim that ‘holds’ for second and then releases leading to the clunk, as I said we sort those as part of the service 😀

I will hopefully be in touch in a few days then as it’s doing my head in. Thanks for the help!
