Yup just joined the pink bicycle to do this. Will mull over my groundbreaking excellent squad over coffee in the morning once I’ve got to grips with how it works.

Joined. I've been watching DH since the 90's and watch almost every single race and I've never done any better than very badly. This might be my year.

I'm in, but I'll probably change my team many times before the deadline!

To save me looking at every team, has anyone NOT picked Amaury?

I've not picked him. But yes he's a very strange price.

I couldn't decide on Amaury - He was 6th in Thredbo a couple of weeks back against loads of locals, so he's definitely increasing the intensity again now. He didn't seem too happy with his form, but there are loads of WC riders behind him on that event.

Also Reece Wilson - I'll be keeping my eye on his next few weeks too.

Always done very badly on the dh but ended up 12th overall when they did the EWS a few years ago, mainly because I had Hattie Harnden from the 1st race. In fact if I hadn't swapped Jesse Melamed for Richie Rude in the final round (Innerleithen when he was disqualified) I would've been around 3rd or 4th. No doubt I'll be near the bottom on here tho

I’m in with a Lions eligible team (for now). Bit silly really but expecting to do lots of transfers to Frenchies over the season.

ha well we’ll see about that. All my predictions for last season were spectacularly wrong so you might have a challenger for bottom place😀

I've just joined the league. Only a few days to go.

Screenshot showing the only time I'm likely to be ranked #1:

I listened to the PB pod yesterday/this morning and they mentioned that the value of the riders will be changing each race (which is fair enough and happens in most fantasy leagues) but when the value changes that is reflected in the team value.

Eg, Amaury wins at Fort Bill and his value increases by a couple of 100k, so now you are over budget and have to change the team before the next race.

Basically it's made me think it's not worth shoe horning him in. He hasn't raced a WC for a long while so no guarantees that he will be up to speed in the first race back (it was definitely worth having for the later rounds if you can bag him at 240k) I'm now thinking of using that budget on a top female rider as they'll more likely make finals and have a greater chance of both making the podium.

Won't lie, my predictions were based on who I enjoyed watching last year and have no bearing on actual chances of winning!

Listened to the PB podcast this morning and was inspired to spend all of 2 mins coming up with a team. So I'm in.

Is there any way to watch the action for free this year? Failing that what's the cheapest subscription option?

Well done to Maxcommencemal with a decent score of 89.

I'm in 4th and it all looks pretty close from 2nd down. Straightaway it looks like I need to swap riders as the dynamic pricing has removed a rider already.

Should really be Maxcommencebien.

Pinkerton let the side down. I flipped a coin over whether to pick a first year elite or a local. Greg Williamson would have earned me triple figures.

Had Pinkerton so no points there, also had Williamson, Pierron and Tahnee.  Luke Meier Smith's dsq and picking Louise Ferguuson instead of Mikayla Parton cost me a decent score but 66  not a bad start considering only 3 got any points

My idea for going all in on the Women almost worked, but I went for cheap Brits in the hope they’d be able to chip in some extra points with a bit of extra motivation with the home crowd behind them and Luke M-S as mid priced dark horse but none of the Brits got close to the final and L M-S got DSQ.
I’ve had to amend my team already though as Vali’s price is now up to 1,000,000!

Hats off to Yak, steaming into the lead after that round, Lachlan kinda seems like the obvious (cheap) choice after almost laying down a stormer in Poland. Doh, why didn’t I think of that.
Feeling quite good after Myriam N got me a good few points.

Thanks!... got to celebrate minor wins when they happen!  Yeah Lachlan's speed was undervalued before by the pricing but it won't be now I expect.

I’ve had myriam since the start and she bagged some points today and hopefully it’ll continue until her stock rises. Amaury Pieron also in there as a “cheap” buy but aside from some self back patting for those two, I’m doing terrible.

Im thinking of getting Bruni and then five random £100K riders….

@yak appears to be second in the whole world after last night's additional score shuffling! Chapeau!

Whoop whoop! It's a fantasy league battle in our house. No-one else is in the dh league, but my daughter reckons she is beating me on percentage away from the top basis in the F1 fantasy league by comparison. Might have to up the stakes and bet some chocolate bars on this.

Is the scoring correct? I show as 349 but with rounds of 69, 55, 67.

I made the mistake of dropping Vali for this round but I may have to revert to that eggs in one basket strategy if I can afford to keep Myriam or Aumory in alongside her after recalibration.

Yeah Mark I was wondering about the scoring, totals don’t seem to match and everyone has jumped up loads of points..

Ah, the dodgy total scores have been corrected and I think we are all back where we should be. And not 2nd in the world.....

Ah well. There were some dodgy third round scores so was fair to remove them all. Mine was all legit... but gone now.

It seems a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but perhaps they were unable to identify which accounts had "cheated"?

There are still a few of us in the top 50 out of 20,000 globally - showing the world that STW isn't all bikepacking, beards and arguing about dogs 😀

Actually the adjustment has done me a massive favour, but it doesn't feel fair.

Reading the PB comments, it seems some folk unwittingly 'cheated' as they were picking their teams for the next round... I've had a shocking rd1, decent rd2, meh rd3 and still unsure if losing that total is good or bad for me, but then a triple-figure score for rd4 so I'm still happy!

I think there's still adjustments going on as I was 5th in the STW league last night but 6th this morning?!

Ideally you'd invalidate any changes made between X and Y date and revert the scores to their previous line-up.

But PB haven't shared how many people are involved, I did ask Brian Park on their article about it.

I think there’s still adjustments going on as I was 5th in the STW league last night but 6th this morning?!

Or people still joining our league? I think I've dropped from 2nd to 3rd.

Ah, good point. Could be 'Andy01302' that's a STW league newbie if it's only them and Yak above you. Bumped me off the virtual podium!

does seem a little ott way of dealing with the error but there you go. Personally round 3 was the first one with a decent score for me, so I’ve dropped back a few places. Hey ho, had a decent round 4 though.
