Riding my bike yesterday it sounded as though the frame was cracked in ten places and every frame bearing was bone dry- till I stood up off the saddle and there was blessed silence.

So, both the Charge Scoops I own creak like billy-o. Drop of oil where the rails enter the body helps for bit but it’s still bloody annoying.

My ones are both early models, long before the change to the Fabric name and them coming in 3x shapes. I love the shape and the looks – I was wondering if the more recent ones have cured the creaking issue?

Had one of the new fabric saddles and returned it for this very reason..

My Charge Knife is appalling for creaking! Thinking of trying something else to be honest.

If you drop a bit of silicon lube into where the rails enter the plastic body. Often helps.

Bel Air’s back in the day used to creak like crazy.

Dash of lube on rails and where rails enter molding – and grease bolts also – repeat a couple of times if creaking persists – it never has for me – If it does contact manufacturer direct ..

Ok, maybe I’ll have to get a bit more lubey. Thanks all.
