As we all know, Singletrackworld gives the best recommendations for literally anything due to us all being dead clever and sexy and that.
This being the case, I'd be grateful for any recommendations for wireless earbuds. Since lockdown, my back garden has been my gym. I've used a bluetooth speaker at points, but worried about machine-gunning the neighbours too often with my Booty House and Industrial Dancehall selections.
Main criteria are stability/fit and sound quality; not too concerned about battery life. Don't mind shelling out if it's the right product.
Jaybird Vista here, spendy ish but brilliant.
I need to hear your industrial dancehall playlist though
I would suggest avoid ones that have the battery/button module dangling from one ear, like my otherwise outstanding Anker Soundbuds, because it's annoying AF when trying to run. There are some that have it in the middle or on a necklace, would be much better. Or wireless ones. But I have a lot of confidence in Anker, so their version of Airpods for £42 are probably pretty good.
I use some anker liberty neo, no wires, fit well, have little rubber ear hooks for stability.
They were around £45.
Have since bought 3 pairs for family members, seems universally popular.
Really hard to predict what will be 'stable' in your ear. I've tried loads of earphones but by far the best for my ear shape have been airpods pro. Which is annoying because of the cost.
It might be worth looking at which earbuds have a wide range of tips available - that way if the in-box ones aren't quite right you don't have to spend loads more to get a better fit.
I use SONY WI-200 as they have a cable between them so if one falls out on the bike then I don’t have to spend ages searching for it.
Ive recently said goodbye to my Jlab Jbuds Air (bought for £35) as i found out they are not washing machine friendly... Up until then, they were faultless and had super sound quality. I will however be replacing them with MPOW M30's. £25 on amazon and with ace reviews, they punch well above their weight. I find it hard to spend big bucks on something that can (and will) get lost or forget its in a pocket and end up in the washing machine
MPOW M30, had for the last 3 months and really cannot fault especially for £26! I was going to buy the Jaybird Vista, but thought may as well try the cheap choice first, glad I did.
Jabra Elite Active 65T get my vote. Can also vouch for their warranty back-up as they replaced my 18 month old earbuds when they started playing up.
Bough a pair of MPOW M30 plus to tide me over and they are good for the money but I was glad to get my 65t's back. Superior sound quality and more solid Bluetooth connection, at least with my iphone 11.
I got some of these - they work for me
I'm using these https://www.poly.com/gb/en/products/headsets/backbeat/backbeat-fit-2100 actually still using the original pair that are 6 years old now. Fantastic piece of kit and stable for running, biking, and cardio work.
He did ask what the best were not just what the cheapest ones are that will do
I do think getting a good fit for your ears is key though.
I had the tozo ones and they kept dropping out of my ear, so a no from on those.
Going to mpow m30, but may wait for black friday now
Backbeat Fit here. Can't fault them, but I've nothing to compare them against as the buds they replaced were 1989-vintage Aiwa Pipe-Phones that finally died after 25 years' service after I snagged the cable once too often.
Seems the model I have is discontinued, this looks to be the replacement.

Been using Bose SoundSport Free in ear wireless buds for Zwift training for 2 years. Really stable in ear. You twist them in, not like a screw! More like 1/5th of a turn and they kind of lock in place. Can do 3 sessions on a charge. Sound quality is great too. Stable bluetooth connection to phone. Used for approx 1000 hrs to date without issue.
I use Creative Outlier Golds. Brilliant battery life, decent sound quality and a good fit for my ears. Might be horrendous for your ear shape though. Bonus is that they make you look like a cyborg from Star Trek
I have jbl reflect flow. Very happy with them mainly as they are one of the first earphones ive found that dont fall out my ears.

What YGH said - Jabra 65s
I had the wired Bose Soundsport and they were really good (until I lost them ). Personally I find the ones with a little ear clip thingy like the Bose and Jaybirds stay in much better.
Jabra Elite 75t. Traded up from a £28 cheapo pair of earphones when they packed in after 6 months.
Well worth the extra £. I use them For running and think they’re a Really neat bit of kit. Very comfortable, great sound ... never fallen out. Fully waterproof.
Jabra Elite Active 75s. Waterproof. Bombproof...and now come with ANC.
I bought some Jabra Elite Sport when they were discounted. Pretty similar to the other Jabras mentioned above, used them on the bike loads, sound pretty good, don't fall out, haven't broken, hold a decent charge and not uncomfortable after 2+hours. Work well for me
Jabra Elite Active 65T
Another for these. Getting close to two years now with no issues at all.
I also have the Jabra Elite Active 65T and am very happy with them, great sound quality and very practical for a sports headphone that can cope with sweat and rain.
Yup, it's another vote for Jabra Elite Active 65T.
I spent years suffering inferior 'gym' headphones; first cheap wired, then cheap BT with a 'connecting' wire. Never found satisfaction.
A guy I work with had a set of the Jabras & let me try them. Ordered myself a set there and then.
Comfy, never fallen out, great sound, great battery life. They just work. Very well.
Very, very happy user here.
Soundpeat True Wings
Took a bit of a risk on a brand I'd never heard of with a silly name but have to say they're bloody good for the money.
I've never bothered learning what the button/touch pad thing does apart from turn them on or off but sound quality, battery life and fit is good. I ride with one in all the time and never had an issue with it falling out or coming loose. They also have an ambient mode where the mic pipes in what it's recording so you can hear what's going on around you which seems to work quite well. Seem to be good for calls and not had any connectivity issues.
Also, worth buying for the Chinglish "Power On... Connected" voice alone!
Do they have to be earbuds?
Seriously do consider Aftershokz - all the advantages of ear/headphones but not having to worry about ear fit or falling out.
Sound is decent enough and if low enough can still hear your surroundings which is good for if you do take them out into the real world.
Powerbeats Pro here - nothing to compare them to earbud wise. Obviously not a patch on my Sony WH-1000XM3's, but decent enough sound and water/sweat proof and don't move - no n/c though
Do they have to be earbuds?
Good call. I have funny ears when I exercise in that every type know to man just falls out.... Fine when not running/riding...
Bought Surfer junior a waterproof pair as a present so she could swim in them. She doesnt use them so I use them for running and they (Walkman) and they are fine and stay in.
Jabra Elite Active are very good.
Creative Outliers are not quite as good but a lot cheaper.
Powerbeats Pro here – nothing to compare them to earbud wise. Obviously not a patch on my Sony WH-1000XM3’s, but decent enough sound and water/sweat proof and don’t move – no n/c though
AFAICT the Beats X (what I have) are the cheaper alternative to those, and I really rate mine. I like the round-the-neck design, seems much more practical for exercise than the 'true wireless' ones that can fall out and get lost. They also stay in my ears really well thanks to loads of different rubber bits. Unlike the Powerbeats, the BeatsX are apparently not water/sweatproof, but mine have been, er, tested in the washing machine and still work!
If you use an iPhone (and especially if you also have a Mac / iPad) then the special bluetooth chip in Apple stuff (W2 etc) is so nice to have it's really worth paying a bit more for IMO.
+1 for Aftershox. The sound quality is nowhere good as "proper" headphones but they don't fall out, don't cause sweaty earphones and are a lot of safer as you are aware of ambient sounds. 11 months in and they are fantastic.
Just joined the Bluetooth revolution via some soundcore liberty neos, great sound and superb for work calls as I can walk around house/garden, however for running when breathing heavily due to the ear canal being sealed it amplifies you breathing and every step sounds like the T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park and is annoying to the point I've started running with just one ear bud in, anyone else find that?
When my Bose soundsport wireless were stolen I tried replacing with the Jabra Active Elite 75t. Nice earbuds, but terrible thumping when running, think it's called occlusion. They went back and I bought another soundsport wireless. Not as fancy, but just work!
Powerbeats pro user here . I can’t tell you how many different pairs of headphones / buds I’ve tried over the years but these are by far the best . Lots tend to fall out when I’m running due to sweat and movement but the Powerbeats pro don’t move at all due to the over ear loop .
Another vote for aftershokz only had the for a few weeks changed from apple air pods as they irritated my ear.
cost £99.00 on Amazon.
