Looking for a fun freeride/enduro bike/frame, something with 170mmish travel, will take up to 180mm forks.

So far looking at the following –

    Knolly delirium
    Santa cruz nomad
    Capra
    Gt sanction
    Radar swoop 170

    Forgetting anything?

Nomad seems a bit short, no?

Rode the current Nomad earlier this year, medium felt long for me, large is longer and not much taller so you can basically go longer on a similar standover frame (Just checked and there is less than 20mm difference in standover across the sizes so pick the length you want)
Only managed a couple of runs but very stable and a different bike once you got it going. Pedalling was better than my Blur LTc which was surprising and it felt easy to get around – that was the C-AM build (GX spec) which was nice and apparently the most popular build here in Oz.

You can also stick a set of dual crowns on a Liteville 601..

Kona process 153, mines been bombproof very confident. 2017 version bit slacker and longer, natch

Nomad has low bb, mate just switched his for a transition patrol, he prefers it,

Currently on a process 153, angleset slacked out to 64.5* HA.

I fulfils the remit pretty well, but not comfortable with running it at 180mm, fell that it will unbalance the bike.

But it’s fulfilling my remit pretty well so far.

Think I’m pretty set on the banshee rune.

Geo looks spot on, like the adjustment. Standover might be a little high.

    Reckon it’ll be a beast

Not sure I’m recommending this, but just to throw it into the mixing pot… an Enduro with 180mm boxxers for less than the price of a Nomad frame

I’m running my Mondy Dune at 180mm, and it’s a right hoot:

So, in the time old STW tradition of recommending what you ride, get one……… 😆

I can only comment on my Capra based on comparing it to my ’08 S-Works Enduro, but it rips, even if it does try to kill me – I’m faster most places. Can’t compare it to any of the others though.

I’ve got the 170mm Lyrik equipped CF Comp

For me, it’s ideal having the shorter reach/steeper seat angle than some other bikes with long legs and a short torso.

Mate runs a spec Enduro evo with some XFusion metrics at 180

Looks ace and rides well enough to get him 46th in mega challenger

Lots of good bikes out there and some good forks as well
