  • 12mm nutted axel disk hub?

The “E” component of my E cargo bike has given up, and i need to chase down whats wrong in the 10yr old mess of cables and controllers. Im thinking ill just ride it without the E until i can get it sorted, but need a new front wheel.

Its a front hub “bafang 8fun” motor, which has a 12mm axel (i think), and big hex nuts to hold it on.

Can i get a regular hub that will replace it?

Its a 100mm width, but the slots in the fork are 12mm, so no good for a regular qr hub, and 12mm hubs i can find tend to be the type where the axle slides into a thread in a fork.

Any suggestions as to what im missing?

Cant you just buy some 12mm stud (m12) at the correct length and then put two M12 nuts and washers onto it on it once it’s through a normal 12*100 front wheel?

Over long axle (see Robert Axle Project maybe?) and a washer & nut to suit?
