Clocks go back at the weekend.
Its been persisting down all day.
Waterproofs have just come out of the wash having been re proofed.

WINTERS COMING- Aaaaargh run for the hills!

Whats your favorite bit about winter? Motivation time.....

Mines getting covered in shite. No really, i quite like it.

There is only one good thing about winter for me - I can use my turbo without sweating excessively.

Winter's a bad thing, it kills people and costs them money; if it was invented now it would be banned. Like alcohol would be.

The temperature is generally a bit more bearable in winter.

Long rides without sweating, hard fast ground or huge amounts of mud, wrapping up warm and then getting covered.
Hot tea that really means something.

Winter comfort food

Salad, couscous, pasta and stuff is shite,
Cottage Pie, Hot pot and pies aren't. So there!

Oh and you can't beat proper effing cold, moonlit winter night-rides, where you hear the frost crackling under your tyres, as you get back to a pub with an open fire just as you're losing the feeling in your hands and toes ๐Ÿ˜€

I like winter even more now- it's NOT politically correct and a health and safety nightmare! ๐Ÿ˜†

Cold Clear Rides Man.

Can't beat them for crispyness and hot air breathing heavy in the mornings. Open forests devoid of fauna, unspoilt views through the trees. Up on the hills it's like God has dusted the land with sugar and we're laying tracks through the virgin frost exposing the fact to the world....

We're the only ones out playing.

Long rides without sweating,

You've not met me......

Rock hard ground, sometimes when it's a crisp morning, clear blue skies temps barely above freezing, i like it better than summer.

Snow. Proper snow, that's dry and light and fluffy and almost warm, not soggy heavy wet cold snow.

Clear blue skies, and that not-quite-too-cold cold you get when wrapped up. Fires, bobble hats and scotch.

I love Sundays in the winter.

Sunday ride getting thoroughly caked in mud, freezing cold and soaking wet and then coming back to a nice warm shower, then roast dinner and a bottle of red in front of the fire.

And snow too. When it gets proper chilly and theres snow on the ground, going for a snow ride or just generally out in the snow is brilliant. I thought I would have stopped being entertained by it by now but nope!

Crispy trails. Frozen dirt is wonderful stuff, not so keen on frozen water though

Snowy cold clear days with crisp air, blue skies and sunshine.

Feeling like a munchkin snuggly wrapped in a down jacket, scarf and fleecy hat.

Hot crumpets dripping with melted butter, roast dinners, apple crumbles, and hot mulled wine or cider after a chilly ride ๐Ÿ™‚

Scotch

Ah yes, the inner glow!

Can i add fog? The calmness of it all, the tranquil beauty and the not being able to see more than an arms length in front of your face fun of it all.

I like when it's over, nothing like spring when the trails start bursting into life, before the nettles and brambles crud them up.

Winter? Nothing it's cold dark miserable and lasts too long I hate it, get SAD syndrome and will in all probability kill myself this year I'm so fed up.

Then again maybe I'll buy myself another light.

On my commute i go over a hill which often pops out of the fog in winter. Overlooking the buildings below peeping out of the fog is a lovely sight. Could watch it for hours, but my nuts get cold.

Nice pics lowey, but that light on the top of your helmet doesn't look cool and could get knocked off by a branch, thus it ruins the effect for me...

winter rocks, scarves hats, ruby noses, wolly hats, coming in from the cold. Getting the countryside to yourself, feeling like you've really earned your cake.

Comfort food and those fresh rides where the ground's frozen solid but isn't slushy or slippy. The tea/cake after a ride.
