I ran "Shelley's" in Keswick in 1986, I have some good memories, especially of one or two of the barmaids ๐Ÿ™‚

Legend has it that the bus between here and Dolgellau was good for some "entertainment" on the way back. Any stories ?

The Roxy (I think?) in York, circa 1990. Best mate was at uni in York, the one rule for the best man's speech I did for him was "Don't mention that night in Roxy!"

So I opened by explaining that the one thing I woldn't be talking about was that night in the Roxy - that seemed to help 8)

Q-ball in Durham. Particularly the night of the Italia90 semifinal.

Most eye-opening was the Tuxedo Princess in Newcastle. I wasn't naive, but went there one night with my cousin and his mates while I was a student in Durham, and it was ๐Ÿ˜ฏ with podium dancers, bar staff in underwear and locals who were very forward.

Actual best was one of the majors in London in the early 90s. I don't recall which but had 3 or 4 floors of different house music types. I'd never really got into that scene, being an indie jangly guitar band type, but that night I just got it, even without pharma assistance.

The Church, Kings X, not really a nightclub but what a way to start Sunday morning!

Not really a clubber but spent a night in Trafo in Bratislava last year and it was ace, really packed, everyone smoking (which was quite odd for the first 15 minutes!) then loads of bad central european dancing with the locals! I imagine it was just like the places mentioned here in the 90s....
