Was thinking of getting some of these as Xmas presents for my ageing parents as they struggled in the snow and ice last winter, but have left it rather late if the forecast is correct as they will be starting to sell like hot cakes!

Anyone used them and liked/disliked them? The website suggests that they are no good except on snow and ice and you should take them off when you try to walk on any clear bits, which seems a faff.

They are very easy to put on and off, without having to remove your shoes.

My other half and I had to get them a couple of years ago when we went to The Grand Canyon in February, there was quite a lot of snow and ice at The South Rim.

They are excellent, giving you confident grip where you'd otherwise be on your bum!

Well worth the £20 or so.

Another thumbs up here. My SO has them and I'm always jealous. She even went for a 5k run with them on in one ski resort!

On your recommendations I have bought some for my folks - only £15 at Cotswolds

Look really good, shame this snow looks like it will miss us or I would have tested a pair this weekend, just to be sure, like

Just to say, bought some for me and MrsSwadey as well, and used mine for the first time today - turned my smooth soled work shoes into icy hill climbing works of art. Very impressed, I was going past lots of rugged looking hiking boot wearers who were struggling to keep moving.
