What is pure wordle?
Well I play it as, the first word is the solution from the day before, you have to play the letters that you have already got right, and not play any letters already discarded.
But it is only a bit of fun, play it how you like. As long as we warm tins of alphabetti spaghetti on the burning carcasses of those who have reduced the game to an algorithm, the blasphemers who play "magic" words to ascertain the most common letters and desecrate the sanctity of wordle. Then there will be no need for all out war.
Sounds good, I'm going to give a try. If I can remember yesterday's word!

Judging by the results it looks like lots of people are playing the "yesterday's answer first" rule, which makes posting your result effectively a first line spoiler. I tried that today, took me 4 goes - had it down to a choice of 2 on the third and played the wrong one.

given there are 2500 correct answers there will always be an element of luck - but well done all the same, I'd say skillful guessing 🙂

Agree, I though that this morning but didn't have the time to spoiler it. Will do from now on. Although, I might also just give up posting here 🙂
Does anyone actually come on this thread before playing the game? Shirley you play the game, post the results and then have a bit of a discussion about it.
Anyone worried about that slightest of potential spoilers should avoid the thread.

But quicker probably to actually do the puzzle. I've just had had a minor phase of hello wordl ~(link on p2 means you can do as many as you want. Not great for those of us with poor impulse control...) and all go in three or four as far as I can see. So I think it's run its course.

I wouldn't. Its quite a poor choice of words to eliminate common letters (except on this one occasion)

It's my standard second word so Nirvana was agonisingly close if I wasn't such a creature of habit!
I’m disappointed , was easy tday.
3 correctly placed letters first go left only two possible words, guessed wrong so on 3rd guess got it.
