What is it and why did it just stop me replying to a post? (Inevitably it was a long reply and I can't be arsed re-trying 😂)

No, it was definitely Wordfence, though I'm assuming that's it's part of Wordpress?
Google says it's a Wordpress security plugin. Something in my reply must have triggered it. Maybe too many big words...

Ah maybe.. I know I make a habit of copying my text before I hit reply if it's a long one, as quite often the process seems to conk out and the text dissapears!
