[Closed] Wooden window replacement - Hampshire - recommendations

[#4933431]

Looks like I need two wooden bay windows replacing. I live in a conservation area of sorts and replacement has to be like for like so no metal or PVC - which would make the costs a lot different I understand. So after I have sold a kidney or my first child to fund this I need to find someone to do it. Any recommendations in Hampshire/Southampton area? Any advice?

Many thanks

We just got a local carpenter/joiner to make some up for us when we needed some new frames and sashes. In a couple of cases we had the whole lot done, sometimes it was just letting new wood in to the frame and just replacing the actual sashes.

Maybe have a look locally for anyone who looks like they've had theirs done and see who they used?

WE had our loft converted by Brinlee (in Lymington I think) - they're nominally carpenters and the conversion was well done so I guess should be capable of sorting you out.

Try Avon Joinery in Ringwood.

Thanks for the advice.

I wasn't sure a joiner would do the whole job on their own? I thought they might make the frames/cases and then I would need a glazer/builder/decorator/scaffold? They are upstairs bay windows one four frames the other seven frames.

Will ask loal joiner his thoughts.
