Accident claims; I basically lead them slowly down the path to intensive care where I have a brain transplant.

Windows scam; I act super dumb like I don't know how to use my PC. So the process is slow. When it comes to installing software from their site I tell them I have no internet.

Whilst doing this I usually clean the house.

I've just this minute told one who was asking for my boss that sadly he passed away 2 weeks ago. He rang off pretty quickly. I've told the boss that the next one gets to be told he's in custody and the police have taken away his hard drive.

Last time I had a 'computer issue' caller, I managed to spend about 5 mins getting them to jump through hoops to 'prove' that they were who they said they were (TalkTalk) which ended in him providing me with names, addresses & our account number.
I then moved onto why the issue of my internet supposedly being hacked is my issue & not theirs. And what are they doing to sort it out?
We then moved onto the subject of no laptops in the house, only phones & tablets..
I then asked if I could call them back, just in case it was a scam. They gave me their 'customer service' number, which obviously didn't match the customer service number on my talk talk bill so I spent a couple more minutes asking him why it didn't match.

In the end I was on the phone for about 15 mins before he got fed up & hung up.

4.24 for a PPI claim company from Tamworth just now. I usually tell just tell them I've done it already and hang up, but you lot inspired me.

not had any computer scammers.....yet

We have, unfortunately my wife answered as I was at work. Our laptop has never been the same since...

She even phoned me to ask advice to which I replied "hang up, it's a scam" 🙄
