[Closed] Why is the meniscus missing from my glass of water . . . .

Random Friday afternoon musings . . .

i have just poured myself a glass of water from the inline water filter/cooler/pointless thing on the counter in our office kitchen - i am always suspicious of it but for some reason still opt for that rather than running the tap for ages to get it cold.

However I've just noticed - there is no meniscus on the water. . . . . apparently the thing purifies water with uv light . . . . why should that change the meniscus?
