[Closed] Why does OS Getamap use Garmin Route and not Course?

Whilst I think the OS Getamap software is good it falls down for the following reasons when compared to Garmin Connects course building tool

1. It creates routes instead of courses and my Garmin Edge can only handle routes with a 100 points, where as a Garmin Connect course seems to be unlimited. So when you export the Route to the GArmin Edge 305 it truncates it if there are too many points.

2. Garmin Connects ability to be able to follow the road is awesome. You click point A then click point B it will trace the path for you. This saves you having to click points along the path.

I would solely use Garmin Connect, but it does not have the UK bridleway network and so only works for mapping road rides?
