Yeah i was meaning more the reaction an immediate problem ie. Strewth its bloody bright, i'll put on a bloody hat.
We're on a big island between the atlantic gulstream and europe. We have a v rapidly changeable weather but a moderate climate without huge extremes. So basically we cba.
I encountered a Gentleman this afternoon on top of Kinder Scout in full chav uniform.
North Face puffer, trackies and Nike trainers carrying his wares in a Sainsbury's carrier bag.
It was mid 20 degrees and despite my cheery hello, he was far to cool/tough to even acknowledge me.
By far the most out of place and inappropriately dressed person I've seen for a while.
I did once see a woman half way up Snowdon in flip-flops once. That was baffling and entertaining all at once.

A not uncommon sight pretty much everywhere, I’m wandering around wearing shorts, a tee shirt or tank top and Vans, and there’s some kiddy in his late teens, wearing a puffer jacket, beanie, trackies and with the hood pulled right up, and sometimes it’s an adult. The temperature is usually around the mid-20’s.
I was at Stonehenge yesterday afternoon, it was a bit breezy, but the temperature was around 21-22°, I was wearing shorts, tank top, and a hat, because it was hazy sunshine, and I heard several people complaining that it was so cold, they were freezing, and they were all in light summer clothes, so I guess some people are just more sensitive to slightly cooler weather if it’s breezy. I was perfectly comfortable, but I had a tee shirt in my bag, and an ultralight Montaine Pertex smock-type jacket as well, just in case, so not unprepared.
Ha!
Because it's very changeable. If anyone can tell me what I should have been wearing yesterday when I was watching my son's football match to avoid the ridiculous number of changes I did make then I'd be very grateful for your advice. I was wearing shorts and t shirt however added a jumper 6 times when the sky changed from blue to grey, added a goretex 3 times when the wind picked up and used an umbrella twice when it pissed it down and lost count of how many times I put my sunglasses on and off.
Poor leadership, maybe…
