[Closed] Why are my carrots so ugly?

I mean [i]really ugly[/i]! I think they are supposed to be a chantenay. I once read something about carrots needing heavy ground to drive down into. Mine just twist around themselves and come out in a writhing bundle. The ground is a pretty good, well manured (too well?), well watered, well drained. Not very heavy ground though. [img
