We have an AEG condenser dryer.ย The final filter before the condenser itself is a rectangle of porous foam.ย The dryer is still working but this filter is looking tired and growing some holes in it as a result of cleaning and washing over the years.
It seems that it's no longer available as a spare but I'd like to keep fluff and dog hair out of the condenser fins.ย You'd think it wouldn't be too hard to buy a sheet of foam, cut to size and crack on...but it isn't.ย Can anyone steer me towards an appropriate foam of a suitable porosity?ย Of all the folks we have on here, there's a good chance there's someone who works in this field.
Cheers,
Onzadog.
Thank you.ย Any idea of the ppi needed for a tumble dryer?
I've only used it for loudspeakers; ppi is pores per inch so maybe count the original??
I think I have the same modelm. I found a sheet of generic filter foam in a shop that sold vacuum cleaners and cut out a bit of that. Seems to work and I've not died yet
