I can't claim credit though... I think it was the genius that is (was) Yes Minister.
One of my work colleagues was awarded an MBE in the birthday honours. Thoroughly deserved it was too.
The 2 MBEs I've met made me think it stood for Massive Bell End.

My old boss got an OBE aged 28 - well deserved for massive efforts in increasing diversity in a really big organisation. He was a total pro at his job too. And he knew how to do plumbing and plastering from his dad's business. And quite nice to boot. Tosser 😉
My granddad got an honour, I think it was a BEM. He quietly did a lot of decent community work.
