Okay I know you get what you pay for, but in these times of austerity, what should be the skinflint's choice?

Genius. Protect yourself from viruses by acquiring anti-virus software from hackers. ๐Ÿ™„

Use MSE or Avast! - both are free and good.

Microsoft Essentials and run Malwarebytes once a week.

Seems to work for me.

I use MSE - seems ok.

Reading the tech forums, the really nasty Trojans aren't picked up by any of the anti-virus tools (free or not)...
