I know I really should be moar STW and use an artisan wet shaver, but I don't drive an Audi or wear expensive trousers either.

So my venerable Braun leccy razor seems to be dying (won't hold a charge), I've tried Phillips before and not got on with them so what else is worth looking at. I don't need any fancy wet/dry skin soothing malarkey, just something to take off a day's growth.  100 quid at the very most.

I found Braun is better than philishave for me. I'll get round to buying another electric shaver one day and when i do it'll be a Braun.

A couple of months ago, my 2ish year old Philishave started turning itself on and off. It turns out (I found when I'd taken it apart) that water had got into it, not surprisingly, given I'd used it in the shower for most shaves in those 2 years.

I decided to have a change and bought a Braun wet & dry. For me, the Braun is noisier and doesn't give as good a shave.

YMMV

Mine died a few months back, my solution was to grow a beard.

Only flaw was then needing a beard trimmer!
