[#4157624]

right here's some of my choices :-
1. road rash. (classic arcade racer/beat em up)
2. ik+ (c64 class karate beat em up)
3. mercenary (c64 classic)
4. the last ninja series (well the first 2 anyways)
5. bangkok knights (classic c64 muay thai beat em up)
6. bobby bearing (another c64 classic)
7. final fantasy vii (there's still hope with this one)
8. uridium (another classic c64 game)
9. killing time (a great 3d fps on the 3do)
10. speedball 1/2 (awesome games)
and finally 11. gods (amiga classic)

over to you 🙂

Final Fantasy 7, as long as they promise to do it right. ie, make it look better, but don't change the gameplay in the slightest. Though I think if they ever do it, I'll probably find fault regardless.

And Homeworld. Oh yes.

Oooh ooh oohh and Lords of Midnight.

Northwind,

I think a Final Fantasy 7 HD remake is on the cards at the moment. Exactly what you want...

Populous 2

I've played the original on an emulator and it's rubbish, I'd like to see a modern version of it.

OP - Speedball (Remix?) is already available on PSN to download..
as is Alien breed

Not really fussed about any old game getting remade, many were amazing first time round but to stand the test of time a remix would pretty much have to be a completely different game. remakes/sequels of older games often completely lose the addictive simpleness of the original IMO

<EDIT> except roll playing/adventures and strategy games which I didn't really play the first time round.

Hmm. This'll sound odd, but Total War: Shogun. Yes I know there's a modern sequel, and that it's brilliant- but the original game had a pretty different feel to it, a much more stripped down simplicity that all the other Total Wars have lacked.

So I want original Shogun with upgraded graphics, AI etc.

Just plug an old C64/Spectrum into a **** off big LCD TV

That'll "upgrade" the graphics 😉

Turrican 2 on the Amiga.
What was that helicopter game too? Desert Strike?
The Chaos Engine was a good two player game.

Very sad to say, but great when you're a kid, no one I knew ever bought an original game for their Amiga...everyone at school would just swap copied games or some lads dad would supply lists with anything you wanted, for the cost of a days dinner money! The latest cracked versions of X-Copy were what everyone wanted, so you could copy any game...there were always a couple that wouldn't copy, a sickener when you borrowed a game and your mate wanted it back. 😆

Keep gameplay the same but modern graphics, and an even bigger universe and ship fleet and a selectable modern mode with optional ahoot em up battle bits to break the occasional tedium

A lot of games i just couldnt see working as a modern remake without either having comparitively dull gameplay or changing from the original significantly. But if there had to be one....

I think FF7 updated would be amazing. I would keep it as that though, an update, just a makeover of the graphics and sounds, using the original ideas. The gameplay is fine.

I would also like to see remakes of:

Grand Prix legends, but have it on console/big TV not pc.
Elite, imagine elite with modern graphics and possibly online interaction. I wouldn't make it a MMORPG more have interactions to trade etc in the same way you can trade cars in forza4.
