Looks like he went up Jacks Rake above Stickle Tarn in Langdale then along the ridge above the valley

Bumpity bump for the clever peeps 😉

First one is the Brotherswater Inn/Sykeside camping car park. Not sure on the other one, nice weather though.

Second one looks like it might be the Sea of Tranquility

I agree with Mangoman about Brotherswater pub car park (great campsite there by the way)
2nd one could be anywhere but looks a little bit like Great Gable summit.

Is the 2nd one linked to the first, did he walk up there from that position?

I think they'll be linked yes, they were taken same day. Does that help?

It won't be Great Gable then as its too far away from that pub
It could be Place Fell?

I think you're right with Place Fell - a few yards away from the summit cairn.

Agree on Brotherswater but can't really place the 2nd pic. Place Fell is a possibility although my first thought was Cofa Pike

Yep defo styhead and pic 3 background looks like it's scarfell crag and from the direction of styhead area so you need to work out how far away

3rd is probably from summit of great gable, but not absolutely certain.

Wookey Hole?

Looks like Tilberthwaite slate, but apart from that, stumped on this one.

Quick google of the person on the memorial suggests Lincolnshire might be the area, though south Wales or the Lakes also possible, reading the article.

Quarries behind Elterwater mebbe, can see the big stone in my mind but struggling to place it

I spent a lot of my childhood weekends playing in that quarry (we had a house in chapel stile).
