Or has it all been snaffled again?

We need to know.

The 'again' here interests me.

Has there been a spate of Banana Soreen snaffling in the Todmorden area then?

If so, I think you should provide previous dates, circumstances etc.

Yuck, gag, eugh! What would you want that disgusting abomination for? The only acceptable variation from good, honest, plain malt loaf is the cinnamon variety ๐Ÿ™‚

Play the hummus game instead:

Pick a random employee and ask them where the hummus is.
If they don't know what it is, award yourself a point.

Fun for all the family.

Ages 5 and upwards, batteries not included.

Hummus is what Greeks use for grouting. They can't believe we eat it.

Is this thread like that Mornington Crescent game where you have no idea what people are banging on about and they are in on it and you aren't? ๐Ÿ™

If I can't find something in a shop, I often find asking a member of staff gives surprisingly good results.

Wasn't Ming Bananas once leader of the Lib Dems?

I once was nearly involved in the theft of a life sized carboard cut out of Geoffrey Boycott from Morrisons in Tod. Just thought I'd mention it.

A shipment of Banana Soreen has just been spotted on the A6033, three miles out of Oxenhope. Shipment is believed to be heading north.

DO NOT APPROACH. Repeat. DO NOT APPROACH. Banana Soreen is believed to be armed, dangerous and minging.

More worryingly the aioli has vanished from the dip section of the said supermarket.

What if we're attacked by vampires? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

If you want a serious answer..... I've just asked the Merchandiser for morning goods and it was apparently removed from todmorden in the 7th of November due to poor sales as well as, apparently, the fact that it should never had actually stocked it in the first place.

Rochdale is the closest Morrison's stockist of said goods to todmorden.

So there you go

I've just been in.

I asked the nice blonde girl (you know, the one with THAT voice who does kickboxing at Walsden).
She has confirmed that Tod is now a Banana Soreen free zone.

There's about half a dozen Cinnamon & Raisin left, but just to add a bit of excitement I've given two of them a proper good squeeze.
Malt Loaf roulette, anyone?

morning goods

That phrase just gave me flashbacks to working in the bakery section of the Huddersfield Tescos in 1996. Since then I don't think I've seen or heard it used once before today. Does anyone normal actually refer to cakey-loaf-type-things like Soreen as 'morning goods' or is it just a made up term for the benefit of supermarket shelf-stackers?

๐Ÿ˜†

NB. Asking in store the other day resulted in probably the most surreal and pointless argument ever with a shelf-stacker there.

Cheers RS. Never know, they might start stocking it again now people (me and thee) are mithering for it...

fixed

how about ordering say 100 from tesco on line and seeing what substitutes you get sent and letting us all know the outcome?

can we all email the store manager to perhaps have this stocking decision reversed? I don't live near Tod but feel somewhat aggrieved. who knows what will get the chop next...

Better than the Hummus game is the Falafel game...

You get extra points if they mispronounce it ๐Ÿ˜€

personally i think the good townfolk of Tod' have made a wise decision by not being ensnared by frivolous fruity upstarts
