Having a chat about this in the office today and for me (rather stangely as i spend a lot of time on a bike in forests) its spiders
I know its daft im a grown adult, they are tiny and cant really do you any harm (well uk ones) but i just hate them they creep my out and i squash them as soon as i see one
so whats your phobia?
The touching of Fish, especially eels.
Rodents. I can't even see a picture of a rat without a certain part my anatomy shrivelling up.
Really steep trails. Even if I know I can ride them I still usually jey out at the top.
tight confined spaces.
Elevated woodwork, tyre-width ruts, ill-health
flying, although I am getting better.
A plane always seems to crash the day before I fly though
Spiral staincases. Tight ones like you find in castles.

Obesity
Those pan scourers made of the really thin green metal strands with that pink soap embedded in. The way they feel in the hand when dry is ungodly. Just typing this has given me shivers.

Injections. So much so I actually punched a nurse who was trying to administer my measles jab at school (panic attack/fight or flight reaction - I apologised a lot afterwards) and spent the next year or so seeing a psychologist about it. It's not the pain side of it, it's the thought of metal under my skin. Can't even watch Casualty if they're sticking needles in people. Have had all my travel jabs recently and it took serious relaxation exercises and telling the doctor "if I pass out, just give me the damn jab while I'm unconscious".

chubby cyclists. one fell on me once, i was lucky to survive.
ohhhhhh anything coming to close to my eyes +1squillion!
things moving rapidly towards my face, even if its mrsconsequence pouncing on me for a kiss really freak me out... always put it down to working in psych units.
oh and chickens, horrible little beady eyed pecky beaked feathered bastards! used to be fine with them, but now even a photo of them makes me feel uneasy. i must've been gang raped on an organic farm as a kid and my brain has blocked it from ym memory or something!

Heights, I have an irrational fear of heights, can get proper vertigo (you go stupid dizzy).
I have spent my entire life trying to face my fear, done every kind of mountain sport, ski and snowboard down anything, when I was a young photographer, went to the very very top platform above this huge crane building the biggest building we had round where I then worked and took a shot with a new fangled lens called a fish eye, all driven by this irrational problem.
Even now if I don't have a board or a bike under me I struggle to get near the edge of a rooftop or a cliff, it's totally stupid, I've often wondered why, I must have been killed in a previous life falling off something..
Then the other question if you have some stupid fear like this, why do you feel you have to 'face' it down..
Mental, clearly I'm not all there..

Lifts, hate them, fear of getting stuck in them.
It was needles, but then my daughter contracted type 1 diabetes so I had to MTFU about it very quickly.
Oddly I can't watch anybody else handle them yet though.

I got stuck in a lift once, far from being a frightening experience I found it quite funny.
Has to be moths for me.. silly ****ers with no sense of direction.

Similar to Pyro - needles. But I can cope with being injected myself more than I can cope with seeing someone else being injected - I squirm when I see it on the TV (such as the heroin scene in Pulp Fiction).
Syringes +a lot! I once bit my doctor. I had warned him that I was terrified and he implied that I should MTFU. I explained that I was serious and there was a high probability of me passing out. By the time he came at me with his poisoned nail, I had wrapped my feet around the legs of the chair and was holding on to the sides - knuckles white. He stabbed me with it and I keeled over - face planted on his office floor. He put me in the recovery position and as he stuck his fingers in my gob to retrieve my tongue, I started to come around; sensing a foreign object in my mouth, I bit down really quite hard. I had another jab to follow this and the same thing happenned again, this time he didn't bother fishing my tongue out.
The other thing is high bridges. I didn't realise this until about three years ago when I drove MrsG and the BabyGs over the Humber Bridge. I properly freaked out.

Not a fan of spiders here either, although I think it's more their webs I don't like. They're sticky and feel weird.
Things I'm actually scared of:
Futurama being cancelled permanently.
Being seriously injured, in that it affects me for the rest of my life (that might not be a phobia though, that might just be common sense).
Being stranded alone in deep, open water.

Oh, and being on the edge of steep drops. Was on a very narrow trail on Conwy Mountain a few weeks ago, on the very steep side. Kevevs merrily scuttles along it, I almost had to crawl along it to get to flatter ground. Took me ages to get over my fear of even gentle drop-ins. Also, once stayed in a flat in NY, which had floor to ceiling windows. Being right up against the window, you're actually just right on the very 'edge'. Ok if I looked straight ahead, but as soon as I looked down.....
