[#1504923]

a mate is going to New York tomorrow and I feel I should ask him to buy me something just because it will be cheap!

So, what's cheap over there? I would quite like a GPS for the bike or maybe a netbook - would they be worth getting?

Timbuk2 bags
Levis, converse, nike etc

For electronic stuff bear in mind you'll need a different power supply

I think you meant 'value of life', especially if you are poor and/or coloured.

Got to be careful with the taxes (often only discovered at the till) and currency costs.

But have a look on JensonsUSA first.

I think you confused it with a serious post
