A woman moved in opposite us a few weeks ago. Seemed nice enough at first. That soon changed after around 2 weeks, when there were numerous people coming round to her house, being, generally, noisy and parking across our entrance etc.
She either has many friends, who come round to visit her for 1 minute a day, or she is doing something strange, or, what we think, she is dealing in some drugs. There has been 6 visits this evening.
Tonight there were 2 cars with stereos on full blast, blocking the road, and generally acting like real tits sounding their horns etc. The time has come to do something. The woman does not talk to anyone, and when I did go over to ask her to keep her 'friends' noise down a bit, there was another woman there who looked like what would be cast as a 'low life hooker' in a film. She was quite mouthy and told me the owner wasnt f..ing in, and she wasnt moving her car, even though it was blocking the road. That was reported to the Police, as the car was totally blocking the road. Police didnt turn up.
The Police are unlikely to do anything on my suspicions, based on past experiences with another dealer a few years ago, so, what do I do?
Sounds crap - whereabouts are you (roughly)?
Grass?
If it was a low-key dealer whose clientele were respectable upstanding citizens, I'd leave them to it, but scum like that **** em.
Just South of Leicester. It's the third person to have been in that house who have been pretty horrible people.
Grass it up to the cops - as above if they are not causing a nuisance then live and let live but if its affecting you grass 'em up. You can report anonymously and you can do so multiple times.
Don't get involved at all yourself
What sort of housing?
If the customers have cars it's likely to be party drugs, weed most likely, pills, phet or coke. Go round and get yourself sorted.
Crimestoppers. Give as much detail as you can. When is it at it's busiest? Any vehicle details with registration numbers in particular? You may need to report it more than once though.
Anything you can provide which will give the police some form of independent corroboration is key because the way that anonymous intelligence is evaluated means that a single reported incident can be written off as a malicious call or a neighbour dispute of some form.
Find the other dealers and get them sorted out that way
Let the cops know. We have a friend with a similar neighbour. Unfortunately the woman in the house rents it off her dad who owns it, and even he can't do much.
Video camera possibly ? (not obvious though)

Don’t get involved at all yourself
Good advice. Stop getting involved in anyway right away. You would be making yourself an obvious target for retribution and harassment.
Then harass the local plod like mad. Be a real pain - report everything you see and make sure you see a lot. A sneakily positioned CCTV camera that just happens to be pointed out of your property directly at theirs is another option.
Or, the more comedy option, become their marketing manager. Put up loads of posters advertising their wares around the neighbourhood, with price lists and photos! "Ecstasy: £2.50 a pill or 5 for a tenner. 123 King Street. Just knock three times."
Ker-*ing-ching!
youre living the dream, my friend!
By the sounds of it you have coke and hookers on tap!
on a serous note: I feel your pain. Had a house 2 doors down that was the same when I lived in Chorlton. In what was a quiet residential street. It went on 24/7. It was a *ing nightmare!!. Bregante speaks wise words. He’s annoyingly good at that. Unfortunately it doesn’t tend to be a quick process 🙁

Speed up the process by reporting them for something else instead that the police would be interested in. Say they are saying controversial things on twitter or that they have a little pug dog that does strange salutes. Police will be round to them in no time.
Blackmail them, if they are dealing it’s not like they can go to the feds 👍😀
Do you live in Chorlton, BTW?

Hell man BinBins what did they do there? Only stock Stella in bottles? Try and make your Greggs organic? the bastards, I hope you have your guillotine ready

Invite them to Rettendon to a quiet country lane.
Have you seen any guns or knives?
That'll get the armed plod round, which is always a barrel of laughs.
Can you get us a quarter? Purely to gather evidence of course.
As raybanwomble sez, report the suspicion of offensive weapons.

Set yourself up as a rival and undercut their prices. Perhaps an online model, we all know what that does to retail outlets.
Feel your pain, I moved about year ago, for numerous reason, one including the guy behind always stunk of weed,
left him to it, anyway a year later, he’s kicked out his older lady and turned silly , similiar lots of visits, obnoxious pikey sh1ts all hours, his new to him 10 year old bmw had every window smashed and panel dented..
my old neighbours are well stressed..
Law and order seems to be lost on the young, like they want to be seen dealing, in my youth collecting gear it was always a quiet pickup, cup o tea or beer a chat and then off we go.. neighbours non the wiser
It seems a minority of kids are invincible and have no respect for the law, with a stretched police force is it any wonder
Move
Seriously.
Sounds like a shit area,
Try Northumberland
The trick here is to tell the police you think they're dealing drugs to kids...

I haven't bought drugs for years, but generally that's not how we used to do it 😉

This..
Id say its more likely something else, IME dealers and users like to keep a low profile, cant think why.
when I lived in Chorlton
Bloody hell Tarquin, you kept that quiet. 🙂
An acquaintance of mine solved this problem by inviting his local class A<span style="font-size: 0.8rem;"> dealer to accompany him and some friends on a scenic night time moorland drive.</span>
No idea what happened but said dealer ended up covered in spray paint, as did his house.
He moved shortly afterward.

Brilliant. I might do this to my neighbour. It's not that he's a drug dealer, he's much worse - he leaves his bin blocking my driveway every bloody Tuesday.
Polis, move, or get squad handed, tooled up and kick their door in, or live with it. Seems to be the options.
i agree drug dealers prefer to keep a lower profile.
Woman downstairs form me died the other month, so I'd a 3 weeks/ a month of a party flat below full of complete bellends, it's no nice at all. The wee guy was trying to get the flat off the councill as it was his auntie that died claiming he'd lived there for 6 months.
yer no the brightest wee man, parties and fights in the flat aren't conducive to getting said flat, all they do is make the neighbours phone up the council and put in complaints.
Luckily I never had to do a thing, all the neighbours done it for me. Luckily they are gone now, but aye it's a nightmare.
If you are convinced it's drugs and she's not just popular?
Who does she rent the house from? If its a registered social landlord then get onto their anti social neighbourhood team. She is in breach of her terms and conditions. If she's as bad as you say she probably has previous and they have warned her. They will have to evict her. The sooner you start the better. It won't be a quick process! Human rights etc. </span>
Do you have an old camera phone? Down load an app and set it to record and give a copy to the landlord.
Also contact the police as above.
Make sure you tell them you are vulnerable as you are a neighbour and that your details are not to be disclosed.
You need to read the CHIS guide (covert human intelligence source) make sure you don't become a victim.
As a follow up to this, things havent improved much. However, talking to our retired neighbours, they are now keeping a log of the comings and goings. The Police have now been round around 7 times in the last month, so they are certainly aware of the house.
The neighbours think prostitution is going on too, which I was a bit sceptical about, but yesterday, a bloke in his 40's knocked on the door, went in, then, 2 minutes later, a young girl turned up, 20 mins later the bloke departed, then a few minutes after, the girl did also. Apparently there is a green car that turns up, a girl gets out from the passenger side, knocks on the door, then goes in, comes out half an hour to an hour later. It's the same green car each time, the one I had an argument with, with the lovely 'classy' woman driver.
The neighbours say only the Tenant has a key, everyone else has to knock on the door, yet there always seems to be at least 4 people in the house. Very strange, but, hopefully something is happening with the Housing Association, however, I dont hold out much hope having dealt with my daughters nightmare neighbours and her HA.
Ever considered how you and your neighbours appear to these people. There you are curtains twitching, crossing the road to complain, calling the police at regular intervals - 7 times in the last month. Maybe it's living in a place where Vichy informers were detested and grassing people up is viewed as worse than a casual disrespect for authority, but it seems you're missing an important thing in life. Live and let live.
I've lived in interesting places with interesting neighbours, they're people, human beings, with their own set of joys and misseries. We've generally got on just fine. If I become a direct target I react, but if they're just getting on with what they're doing with intentionally targetting me then well, that's just the way they are and getting upset about it is only upsetting me which is pretty daft when I can smile and find it all quite amusing instead.
And another thought, if you felt targetted as they must do, how would you react?

Bit early for Godwin.
Yes we should all ignore criminal activities if the criminals are enjoying themselves live and let live, I mean after all the possible prostitutes must be really loving it.

How did you ever lose your Troll tag?
Interesting people? I bet they're not.

Not everybody has a job they love doing. I can't say I enjoyed pulling the bucket seives out of the drains in the abattoir or industrial cleaning or sampling raw sewage. One of the sad things in society is that not only do some people do the jobs some wouldn't but they also get looked down on for it.

And yet you are willingly a regular poster here! 🙂
Yeah your trolling skills have gone maybe that’s why your tag was removed.
And another thought, if you felt targetted as they must do, how would you react?
I'd think "hmmm, maybe i'm not doing a very good job keeping my whore house/crack den on the down-low"
Nah, that was GDPR
It's a problem when you've got to work for a living and these scum are turning up at all times disturbing sleep etc.
I agree with Edukator on this. For example Ed Gein was just forced to improvise as there was no IKEA or a lumber yard within easy reach. The man was just having fun making lampshades out of skin and shoehorns from shins.
Live and let live!

It's that kind of attitude that led to your country being so easily occupied.
🙂
