1st set Murray - looking strong like he may well win it.

Tiger Tim has apparently got a 6-0 record against Federer on indoor courts.

When Federer first appeared at Wimbledon and beat Sampras, who was on a 32 match winning run, he was beaten by Tiger Tim in the next round.

Henman reached no 4 in the world - same as Murray is now.

I asked Sean Connery - he reckons about tennish.

Turner Guy - Henman himself states that Murray is a much better player - IIRC the quote was something like " When I was his age I was struggling to break into the top 100 - he is in the top ten" from a few years ago.

notice that I never said he wasn't - just quoted some stats.

I think it took a while before Murray had a better 2nd serve than Tim had, and volley wise I think Tim might edge it.

Clearly he has stronger groudstrokes and is much stronger mentally - I always thought Tim looked like a strong county player on groundstrokes compared to other players at Wimbledon.

But Murray is part of this newer generation where everyone is hitting harder and western forehand grips are de rigueur, so it is not fantastically easy to compare, apart from his mental strength.

If Murray wasn't still in it, Tsonga all the way. I still remember him nearly beating Nadal at the Aussie a few years ago. He's just a joy to watch. I just hope today wasn't his "final". He has a tough game against Djokovic.

Not so sure, Darcy. Tsonga will have none of the "Brit in the finals" pressure on him, if he gets there that is! I reckon he could win it.

Would still applaud Murray if he's the one that does, though!
