[#8278541]

The people using it were welding, sandblast pipe cleaning outfit.

Should of asked the site agent at the time.

Went on to discover this mat stops wooden arrows like a dream 🙂 and I would like to make some new targets.

It's about 600mm by 750mm'ish. Black plastic back, fibre core then a blue mesh. No logos or anything on the mat 🙁

I've asked before on here...but time has past and a fresh look might help 🙂

Pictures attached.

I would suspect archery target used by folks as target practice, sometimes in a field with a tree/s rather than a traditional archery butt/ target.

Just thinking out aloud....

Looks like a fireproof workshop mat to me; as the blue looks like anti-slip.

Blue stuff might be textilene (polyester mesh, coated in PVC).

@vondally

Yes, I use the two I got as a field archery target. It's about a year old now and holding up well.

@richc and Esme

Some clues 🙂

The fibrous yellow filling looks very much like Kevlar, or a similar aramid fibre. It does look like field archery target, so that's the place to search.
Hmmm, I've found similar looking things, but they're actual 3D plastic models, not a sheet of material:

I've exhausted what little I can suggest, I'm afraid.

It is my target and I painted the deer.

3D's as above are to expensive.

The white black is just a backstop.

Dunno about the mat, but the target looks dead dear.

and Field Archery is Awesomes

It's the One True Way. I really should blow the dust off my tackle. (Quiet at the back.)

and another...
Just foam and ballistic blanket.

First bounces back and hits the camera. The last arrow is fitted with with a 303 shell making it a blunt.

RedHunter, have you tried correx (fluted poly prop) ?
Lots of layers stacked or coiled and shoot at it edge on?
We have some off cuts and know where you can get more..
You know where we are..pop in if your passing.
