I am certainly motivated not to fail - the big 40 is coming up next year and I want to be in good shape from then onwards.
But in all honesty, once you've gotten over the initial cravings - having stable blood sugar levels pretty much eliminates hunger cravings - so it begins to feel like cheating!
Also, had a piece of birthday cake last month - literally couldn't finish it, the body seems to reject sugar when it's no longer used to it.
