Evening STW massive,

I already have an Alpkit Numo for bike packing, but I'm after something a little more comfier for motorcycle touring.

Obviously it can be bigger and heavier than the Numo.

I have been looking at both the Alpkit Dirtbag and the Alpkit Dumo. I have also got my eye on the Alpkit Dozer, but I'm not sure the dozer will be too big as its seems to fold up bigger than the tent !!!,

decisions, decisions ??

Has anybody got any of those 3 above and what are they like?

or have another alternative for motorcycle touring?

Thanks in advance
Dave

I’ve not yet done a motorcycle tour, but when i do, i’ll be using my thermarest neoair. It’s a bloody comfy mat and it packs down small. Plus it’s warm.

Exped is the other good option

Aye, I own a Exped HL 7 for back/bikepacking. Perfect for m/c touring too.

Thermarest XLite, it’s even a half size one just to add insult to injury. Blowing into a crisp packet and sleeping on that would be just as effective.

Didn’t get it for moto touring to be fair, though for that purpose there are a few areas I’d cut bulk/weight before the pad, with hindsight.

Ive also the exped.(SynMat 7)
Can you use something in conjunction with the numo, or are you after one thing itself ? Numo certainly looks comfy but i dont think they're that insulating.

Numo certainly looks comfy

I don't find it very comfortable TBH.

I ended up using a decent foam mat rolled up with tent poles in the middle and the tent groundsheet over the top of it all. Worked better for me than having to stuff my inflatable mat inside the panniers.

If I am solo M/C camping, I use panniers and sling a roll top bag across the seat with all the camping kit in. Space isn't an issue so I take a ME Glacier

Very comfy and doesn't make any noise when I roll at night like many others do.

(If we are two up....she insists we have a proper roof so Hotel, B and B or decent hostel)
