Ouch - I know you admire Martin Donnelly, but that's taking tributes a bit far!

All the best for speedy uncomplicated recovery.

Bit of sticking plaster, some brufen and you'll be up and about in no time.

Did you get any photos of the x-rays/CT scan? That photo looks good, but x-rays would be better!

Get well soon though and try not to suffer too much whilst in hospital. Have they said when you can go home?

Never got to see the scans or x-rays but they have released me early on the strict understanding that I take drugs and stay in bed all day. Didn't seem like a bad demand.

Anyway, a series of pictures taken from my phone from when I first fell and thought my foot looked a bit funny with my sock on, through the one when the ambulance man had removed my sock but I still couldn't see the proper extent, the one MrsWCA to to show me that it wasn't 'just a bad sprain' and then just 48 hours after the operation I was really impressed with how clean, straight and little swelling there is.

Thanks to everyone on here for their support, kind words, piss takes and general STWness.

The last photo is a fracture blister which one of the nurses said was 'very nice' but wouldn't open the cubicle curtains to let in enough light for a good photo. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3088393/

Bad news is that I broke the ladder so will have to clean the rest of the roof with my cast balanced on the back of a chair 😉

Bit early this, but have you any thoughts whether you'll be back on a bike?

Proper horrible.

I went for a ride tonight and thought of you, you know unable to ride. Can't say that sat very well with me.

Again, GWS.
