Great for in the office too.  I want some 🙂

Edit:

$400!

I'll walk and wait for some cheaper exploding imports 🙁

How uncomfortable do they look! If your promotion video has people wafting their arms around to keep in balance it does not bode well.

Even in the shiny promo, those looked almost impossible to ride smoothly!

Barcelona looked nice, though.

Edit - great minds, Convert.

As someone who has two electric unicycles they look pretty lame.

A boss at work has a swegway hoverboard which is similar and that is also pretty lame.

I've beenusing mine around swinley on the go-segway tracks and also the green bike trail, and the first four sections of the blue (but that is a bit too much for a 16inch wheel) but I can't see you doing anything fun like that with those things.

Cheer up grumpy.  I guess you don't see any fun in regular skates, skateboards or micro scooters either but plenty do

perfect for the UK's smooth clean pavements... #faceplant

incidentally, I've noticed a big increase in people using electric scooters in London i.e. from no-one to a couple each day.

If getting one turns me into a super-hot sexy blonde model (either sex, not too bothered) then I'm getting one!

Otherwise it looks like being way slower than a bike, a lot more expensive, and a load of un-recyclable lithium-ion battery to dump into landfill at the end of its life.

They're probably quite good for core muscles.

people say that about the electric unicycles but you would only notice anything if you are in a pretty poor physical shape anyway I reckon.

Lots of electric scooters, skateboards and those scooters with the stick at the front (cannot for the life of me remember what they are called) here in Stockholm. Lots of bikes too, but electric assisted seems to be the in thing for the younger generation with spare cash.

A couple of people here have got VanMoof bikes ( https://www.vanmoof.com/en_se/bikes/electrified-s) and like them. They are bloody heavy though and i would not want to be riding one when the batteries died.

As far as I can see those things are not actually attached to your feet in any way thereby negating any advantage offered over a  hoverboardy type arrangement.

They would be defeated* by the smallest of kerbs, much like a rubbish 1970's Dalek.

They would be vastly improved by SPD's

*and de-feeted.

Perchy's right, you just stand on em.

Lots of moments like TurnerGuy's video, except at <8mph max, you'd have no problem running it out (unless you are an eBiker type, ya knaa 😉 )

I do think they look pretty sad though, and that from an electric unicycle rider !

I get mixed reactions when on my unicyle but mostly really positive - lots of 'wow, cool' and 'that's totally sick' type comments from kids up to adult and only occasional disapproving looks.

Lots of kids asking me what it is or how much as they are planning future xmas presents clearly.

One guy at the entrance to a Swinley Blue, after watching me make a steep climb up the fireroad to him, said I looked ridiculous, but he was there on his Bronson with purple bits on and with full riding kit on about to ride a blue trail, so I dismissed his opinion as spurious.

electric unicycle

Can we please stop sullying the name and beauty of human powered transport. Use electric monowheel if you wish.

Same goes for all those on these new fangled pedal assisted electric mopeds, for that is what they are. You've already admitted to the world that you don't have the balls to ride a proper motorbike, there's no need to pretend you're on a bicycle.

You're probably the type to nip into the local newsagents with the full intention of purchasing some good quality specialist gentleman's literature like Club International, yet when it comes to the crunch you're walking out with yet another disappointing copy of FHM.

Big clue into how you are not keeping up with the times grandad.

Every time you use a GPS function on your mobile device you are utilizing technology that I have personally made that is whizzing through space, and if you're viewing whatever grot you've decided you could explain away to the wife when caught, probably nought more than the Daily Mail's sidebar of shame, on an OLED screen then the chances are you can thank me for coming up with the manufacturing method for the business end of the machine that your OLEDs were "grown" on, so don't talk to me about keeping up with the times sonny Jim.

Admittedly, I still **** into an old sock. I'll give you that.
