Hi folks

It’s my brothers 50th coming up and I am thinking about getting him a joint present with my sister

We are thinking about a vintage watch and have about £500-600 to spend

What would you recommend?

What sort of style? Dress, sport, diver? There’s lots of stuff out there, Classic makes command pretty high prices, it’s worth looking at less well known makes, like Yema, although their sports watches have shot up in value over the last few years, their dress-type watches seem to be more reasonable. Look out for Valjoux movements, later models have quartz movements, and don’t have the quality. Bulova and Omega can be found for reasonable prices too.
I only mentioned the Yema because I have one of their sports watches from 69-70, and it’s a lovely watch.
