I don't know that Leslie is a cat's name. Much like Paul...
Korma, as that's what it may become if it ever 'goes missing' ๐
well Paul's a boys name, so you have a 50:50 chance of getting that wrong...
How about "Hilary" then?

For my sins I help moderate a number of cat-photo based websites (don't ask). We get names submitted with the pictures, and you'd be surprised how many cats are named after well known black celebrities of a certain generation. Tons of Louis Armstrongs, Sammy Davis Jrs, Nina Simones, Ray Charleses, Mr Bojangleses, Ella Fitzgeralds, that sort of thing. You don't seem to get as many Frank Sinatras, say. Took a while to notice it but it's definitely a trend. I have no idea if it's deliberate or a sort of sub-concious crypto-racist thing. Weird.
Most popular kitten name last time I looked: Chloe. No idea why.
Just named one of ours Katsumoto (after the character in "The Last Samurai".

Im going to ask: Wuh?
I said don't ask. ๐
cats and dogs should have typically human names in my opinion, names such as 'Mark', 'Dave' and 'Binners'. if you're going to call it some fluffy name like then might as well go for 'MR Wuffles you wuffy little wuff wuff'
Derek.
Female: mitits

Why don't you name it in a corporate sponsor style? Maybe write to a few companies and get it a collar & coat with their name on it. Then in a few years you could confuse it and whoever else by changing it's name to something else. For periods when other sponsors were taking priority say in a curled up sleeping competition, bird catching or milk drinking contest you'd only be able to refer to it as your cat or my cat and you'd have to rip the labels off it's tinned/sacheted food or black them out.

Never let young kids name pets - we have pussy and socks.
