I've been giving my outdoor kit a bit of TLC now I have a shed with power.
Stripped and refinished a canoe paddle, I oiled the grip, but varnished the shaft and blade.
The grip feels great, but the varnish on the shaft feels very grippy, almost tacky.
I gave it four thin coats, first one thinned, light sanding after each coat.
Will it get better over time as it cures more fully?
