After some fabulous recommendations from you fine STWers the other weekend for the Marin I'm now looking for a van camping spot around Keswick where I can park up/sleep in my van to ride the Borrowdale Bash and somewhere else around the North Lakes over the bank holiday weekend. Don't mind having to move closer to Keswick for the riding, dont have to be able to 'ride from the door' so to speak!

Could you park up at Underskiddaw and trundle down in Keswick when required? It would be a bit of a climb back.
I'd probably head for the first FC car park on the road to Whinlatter. Noble Knott? I think. Think it's still without a barrier. There's a big layby across the road as well with lovely views over to Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite.
yeahhhh I know bank holiday weekend in the Lakes be mental but I reckon everywhere will be, rather go somewhere than sit at home!
