Battery has been on trickle charge since yesterday evening, noticed the green light had come on and needle swung over to the left, just as I went to dissconnect red lights came on and started to recharge has done this constantly what the **** is going on.
Third time I have had to recharge the battery this winter is it time for a new one as its not holding a charge?

If in doubt, blag yourself a halfrauds trade card and replace it with a cheap own brand battery :o)
If you are sure your charger is working, then I'd say its defo time for a new battery.
Does it do the same when in the van? i.e. is it not holding charge after a good run? Alternator ok?
Rich, ive got a trade card for Halfrauds plus a £5 off voucher if thats any help.

Alex hard to say as I,ve just been doing runs to nursery and the odd jaunt to the trails 15 miles max and back all winter, had a inteligent spilt charger installed into the van to charge my leisure battery but does not seem to be charging the other one.
Neil if your passing that would be cool will not be purchasing one if I need to untill after the weekend as I,m skint.
Anyone know if the charger is ok, going to dissconnect now and charge the leisure battery.
I'll PM u later on the other forum mate
Sounds like the split charge system is wired up wrong 🙁 Specially if its a proper job like a Sterling bat to bat charger as the leisure shouldn't charge until the main battery is good.
Use amultimeter to see if the battery is bing charged in the van. SHouold be 14ish V at tickover.
