give it a week and then put up any one of their pics on here with a phwoooaar type comment. Within 10 mins someone on here will describe her as a horse-faced munter that they wouldn't touch with a stunty. Practically guaranteed.

+1 for Lauren Laverne

And Sally James was probably my first crush, along with Debbie Harry.

Maybe it's because I'm old and not keeping up with changes in the English language.
I've sort of come to grips with the idea that "random", as used by today's youth, now means unusual or unexpected.
Does "underrated" now mean chosen for a job in films or television because of her looks then spending an hour with a team of professional hair and make up artists before having her publicity photo taken ?

Kirsten Dunst has teeth like a shark and looks like Billy Corgan with hair.

I still would though.

Kirsten Dunst has that healthy Arian quality about her which makes me think she must appeal to neo-nazis.
I can see her gallivanting around the fresh Bavarian countryside whilst Hitler looks on approvingly.

Looks that way. Also sub-meaning of 'Drooled over on the 'web by little boys; occasionally with a dedicated fansite'.

She's OK until somebody asks her opinion, at which point she comes out with some completely vacuous airheaded take on the matter in discussion.

who's that jahwomble? can't see how she'd be underrated!

So far I agree with:

Susanna Reid - I believe the term is 'MILF', always look forward to BBC Breakfast on a Friday.

Lauren Laverne - a bit annoying and not what I'd call classically beautiful, but I would... so check.

Janeane Garofolo - kinda frumpy looking when I saw her in a few movies years ago as I remember, age has done her no harm on the filthiness scale... and she'd make you laugh too.

I love how lots of these are either (IMHO) blatantly gorgeous (that bird above who looks like Monica Bellucci) or rank (Emin)... 'it's all a matter of opinion!'

glad to see soo many of you agreeing with my choice of Kirsten Dunst.
It's the wonky teeth that make her real and make me fell all weird ๐Ÿ™‚

glad to see soo many of you agreeing with my choice of Kirsten Dunst.

I don't consider her 'underrated' insofar as she is a well-paid Hollywood actress cast as the pretty leading lady.
From last night's TV watching I will throw in Katherine Parkinson, who plays Jen in the IT Crowd.
From this mornings, the lovely Louise Minchin from BBC Breakfast.

For the arty lot.
How about Tracy?

Do not want. The original "body from Baywatch, face from Crimewatch".

How about women who have got better with age?

Not really under-rated, more overlooked, but gets ever more stunning as the years go by:

For those few who understand that "underrated" means having achieved something a bit more significant than getting a job reading a script in front of a camera, I present the youngest woman to run 100 marathons and world record holder for running ten marathons in ten days, Anna Finn.

I caught her up in an event a couple of weeks back. Then she started running again, and effortlessly disappeared over the horizon ๐Ÿ™‚

Hard as nails she is.

I still don't get this thread. ๐Ÿ˜•
Oh well, while you're all looking at pictures on the internet of women you will probably never meet and who possibly can't even ride a bike, I'm off out exploring the local bridleways with the top veteran solo female rider at this year's Set2Rise 12 hour and Bristol Bike Fest 6 hour marathons. ๐Ÿ˜›
Enjoy your wood.

Going back to the original post...

...what about the really attractive women. The naturally attractive ones who don't seem to get a mention.

...there might be a clue in there somewhere ๐Ÿ˜‰

What, a clue as to why people are posting pictures of women who have got film and TV contracts, personal stylists, agents, publicists and their own fan websites as "underrated" ?
No, I still don't get it.
