Not sure about the OP's statement. Sure, the photos come across a lot like dreaded passport photos but think there are some fine looking lasses on that page.

My those passport pics are HORRIFIC though! They look like a criminal line up of offenders, DV victims and paedophiles 😉 they could've taken better pics than that! Think anyone would look awful if taken like that.

They look like typical passport photographs, guaranteed to make the healthiest, most beautiful, athletic specimen of humanity look like a zombie crack whore.
In my former life as a lecturer, we used to be given a poster of all the students in the department (about 150), made up of passport photos - it really was like "spot the mong", but gave hours of amusement when combined with a couple of rubber dart sucker gun things off Play. We had a points scoring system, with bonus points for a "ginger kill"
FFS.....so now you have to be pretty to be an athlete!
And here I just thought being good at something and then being the best in competition was enough to win gold?
Surely they could all be forgiven if they trapped the photographer in the carpark for some kicking practice......

Had a look at the British team and then the Swedish female team! Not what I expected at all - what happened to all the good looking Swedish women? Obviously none are athletes!
